Do you SING, DANCE or PLAY and are between the ages of 6 and 21? Then the Rise 2 Fame Youth Talent Search is for you!
The Rise 2 Fame Talent Contest is a qualifying event each year at the Comber Fair and even though we can’t have a live competition, nothing is stopping us from having a video preliminary.
Comber Fair Rise2Fame Applicants
A Junior Talent Search, ages 6-12 and a Youth Talent Search, ages 13 – 21, will be held virtually. All applications should be from the Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent area. The top acts (depending on the number of entries) in each age group will advance to the finals held virtually through the Western Fair District. To submit your online application, please visit the application submission portal. Contestants must submit a Youtube link as a part of their application.

Contest Details
Accepting Auditions From: Sunday, August 1st, 2021 until Friday, August 20th at Midnight
- No background vocals, lip syncing or vocal enhancement
- Junior ages 6-12, Youth ages 13-21
- No act may be more than 4 minutes
- A dance act may not use background tap effects
- No profanity of any type
The winners of the preliminary qualifier will move on to the "Final round Virtually at the Western Fair Rise 2 Fame contest."
Finals
By Wednesday, Sept. 8th all preliminary winners' videos will be featured on the Western Fair website. On Sunday, September 19th at 6pm the final winners will be announced.
The winners will receive the following:
- Youth 1st place: $ 500.00
- Youth 2nd place: $ 300.00
- Junior 1st place: $ 150.00
- Junior 2nd place: $ 100.00
Also, remember one of the winners will have a chance to perform at the OAAS convention at the Thursday night showcase in Toronto in February 2022.
*Keep in mind that the video you submit to the Comber Fair Rise2Fame is the video that will be used if you move on to the finals by the Western Fair. You will not be able to make a new video.
